Do not fall prey to 'Phishing Attacks'

We understand that there are fraudulent emails, also known as Phishing Emails, going out to customers of various banks, luring them to respond with sensitive information like Passwords, Credit / Debit Card Number by clicking on the link given in the email which redirects the user to a fraudulent website. This fraudulent website looks exactly similar to the authentic website.

Bank of India - New York Branch allows its customers to view their checking accounts online but initiation of transactions is not allowed at present. The users of this Internet Banking facility are hereby cautioned not to take cognizance of these Phishing Mails and exercise utmost care while operating the accounts. Bank of India never asks you for sensitive information by email.

Kindly note that the Bank is not responsible for losses due to any disclosures made by the customers on illegitimate websites. Our customers are advised, in their own interest, to update to the latest Anti-virus, Anti-spyware systems and most importantly they should choose a difficult-to-guess password and change it at regular intervals.
